23rd March. 12 noon. The Let the People Choose march on Parliament . 700,000 people joined REA members on the last People’s Vote one.
6th – 10th May Cultural trip to Fontainebleau.
This has now been rearranged so that members can make their own travel & accommodation arrangements. Once in Fontainebleau there will be, as previously planned, a guided tour of the château, trips to the artists’ village of Barbizon & another historic venue as well as a reception at the town hall.

9th May. Europe Day. The peace & unity of Europe is celebrated throughout the continent on 9th May each year. The date marks the anniversary of the historic Schuman declaration in Paris in 1950, which provided the foundation for the European Union. For further information please click on the following link.
30th May. Young musicians from Richmond, Fontainebleau, Konstanz & Lodi will be meeting in Konstanz to rehearse prior to a performance on 1st June.
Their last performance in England at Twickenham rugby stadium was sensational.
3rd – 8th July. Children & teachers from Teddington School will be visiting the Geschister-Scholl-Schule in Konstanz for their annual exchange.
5th-12th July. Children & teachers from Hampton & Lady Eleanor Holles Schools will also be visiting Konstanz for their annual exchange with the Ellenrieder Gymnasium.
6th July St. Margaret’s Fair
16th-17th July. Konstanz Golf Club will be hosting their partner clubs from Richmond & Fontainebleau.
26th September – 3rd October. Children & teachers from the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule in Konstanz will be visiting Teddington School for their annual exchange.
Das Große Städtepartnerschafts-Jubiläum
27th & 28th June 2020
The 60th anniversary of the first twinning between the three towns will take place in Richmond on 27th & 28th June 2020.
This will be a community event involving sports clubs, cultural associations & educational establishments. We are expecting thousands of guests from our twin towns of Fontainebleau & Konstanz, plus their twin towns of Sintra, Tabor & Lodi. Guests from Richmond, Virginia will also be invited.

The reaffirmation takes place every 5 years on a rotating basis. The last time it was in Richmond was in 2005. Below you can see the twinning oath which was signed by the mayors of the three towns on this occasion.
